Elizabeth & Darcy for sure! Ron & Hermione make my list, as do Maggie & Caleb from Leaving Paradise, Rose & Dimitri from VA and Emma & Knightly! :)
I don't have a top five but I'm certainlt rooting for Catherine and Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights! :o)
Oh, yeah. Beatrice and Benedict. Shakespeare and Jane Austin. Can't go wrong with that. Don't forget Romeo and Juliet.
Love Ann Shirley and Gilbert. *sigh* Happy Valentine's Day.
You already have my top three.1. Anne and Gilbert2. Elizabeth and Darcy3. Emma and Knightly
Oh, I haven't watched Pride and Prejudice in SO LONG! I must watch that soon.
I agree with you. Except I'd add Anne and Capt. Wentworth from Persuasion. (It's my favorite Jane Austen novel.)
Connie, they'd definitely be in my top 10. That is such a good story and very underrated in the realm of the Austen novel.
Definitely Elizabeth and Darcy. And Sookie and Alcide from the True Blood novels!
How about Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane (Dorothy Leigh Sayres) and Jo March and Friedrich Baer (Ms. Alcott's most famous... thanks for the heads up on one of hers I'd missed.) Beatrice and Benedict, Darcy and Elizabeth are on my list, too. One more? Robert Parker's Spenser and Susan Silverman.a/b
Sorry, if you're checking stats. I am no creeper. I opened this up and was so delighted at your concept. I started to comment, but then it was time for dinner, Mexican restaurant tonight and so off I went, leaving your blog page open. I don't think I can limit it to five!Emma and Mr. Knightley would have to be on there. And of course, so would Elizabeth and her Mr. Darcy. Along those same lines, I'd have to add their modern counterpart of Bridget Jones and Marc Darcy. I, too, would add Little Women, but I would say Jo and LaurieThe Time Traveler's Wife's-Henry and ClareRhett and Scarlett And Beatrice and Benedick rule the love world
Anne and Gilbert! YES!Elizabeth and Darcy! YES!Love your choices:D
